C. 1910s maroon velvet and glass seed bead purse. Has a molded brass or closure decorated with roses. Push clasp. Interior is decorated with a light purple silk. Comes with a small compact mirror and case, which was found inside the purse.

The velvet is decorated with an elaborate art nouveau floral design, with smal interlocking fringe around the bottom edge. Velvet handle, also decorate with rows of seed beads.

Purse is in overall good condition. There is some minor corrosion in the form of a green powdery substance at one edge of the closure. The ring holding the strap on that side is also rusted - hinting that it had gotten wet at some point in its history. The silk on the inside is in good condition; however, there is one small tear, about an inch long, near the top edge. Purse includes pocket for the compact. Small beaded bauble on handle missing.
