Mid to late 1920s evening dress with an outer layer of brown lace and lush chocolate velvet. Slip/liner is an ecru/beige silk with a brown lace hem. Dress has a unique construction of velvet to emphasize the rear. Alternating detail of velvet and lace at waistline through hips.

Piece is sold AS IS. In good to fair condition; however, lace at shoulder seams has snapped and interior silk is fragile with some shattering along a fold line. Rips in lace along bodice - both front and back. One hole to interior slip at center front, in decolletage. Tears in lace along front and back of armscye. Skirt is in good condition, and velvet is still supple and shiny. Lining is stained, mostly in the form of small oval spots - along waist and below. These spots aren't noticeable through velvet/lace. Not suitable for wear, and best as a study piece.
