c. 1890-1895 black velvet mantle with soutache beaded design. Cape has a high neck decorated with Mongolian lamb fur trim. Cape has a heavy wool interlining and is then lined with a black cotton. Small pocket sewn into the left proper edge.

Cape is in good condition. Some flaking of fur at collar, with debris visible. Soutache braid at right proper back has come untacked from velvet. Separation of lining at back left shoulder/neckline, but can be easily fixed. A warm statement piece, or a great piece for study. Sold as is.
